Story: I was just talking to DruidMoon about this.

Many humans take pride in the fact that our brains are the most complex out of any other animal on the planet, our civilizations the most sophisticated.

But what if this pride has been translated into dangerous arrogance?

For example, when one considers some horrors of modern warfare that have resulted from the advancement of technology, should one be concerned that human progress has the potential to lead to complete human self-destruction if we continue to be arrogant and abandon all caution?

Or is that blowing modern human tragedies out of proportion?
